There are a lot of people who love having a beautiful bronze glow to their skin, but there\u2019s actually a lot of horrible truths about indoor tanning that you may or may not be aware of. A clinical study that interviewed 400 college students revealed that over half had used tanning facilities and 39% of them seemed to be addicted to the habit. Is indoor tanning bad? It\u2019s been discovered that most people who regularly use an indoor tanning facility seem to be addicted to the habit. 100% of the people interviewed confirmed that they are aware of the side effects, but tanning makes them feel good and they can\u2019t make themselves stop doing it.<\/p>\n

Your Eyes Aren\u2019t Immune!\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Did you know that exposure to UV radiation can\u00a0permanently damage\u00a0your eyesight?<\/p>\n

Even a little bit of exposure can lead to cataracts and intraocular cancer, which is found in the eyeball and is caused by exposure to UV radiation. It is very possible to burn the cornea of your eye while tanning and not notice until 6-12 hours after the fact.<\/p>\n

People who use tanning beds are 2.5 times more likely to develop Squamous Cell Carcinoma, 1.5 times more likely to develop basal cell carcinoma and have an increased risk of developing melanoma by 75%.<\/p>\n
